LOGIN AS USER

When processing credit card payments taken in person or over the phone, you need to be able to act on behalf of the user so that everything is tracked correctly.

To this end, a button is available on the Contact Profile page:

Upon clicking the button you are logged in as that user and taken to the home page of the site. Any actions you then take will be done as that user, including donations, purchases, event registrations, etc.

When logged in as a user, there is a settings button in the top left corner of the page.

Clicking this button opens a screen which allows you to customise a couple of options, or return to the admin area as yourself.

The 2 settings are fairly self explanatory – selecting regular shipping will include the usual shipping calculation in the cart total, while selecting no shipping will not charge shipping. Similarly, selecting online payment will include the regular credit card fields in the checkout form, while offline payment will not ask for credit card details as it is assumed that payment has already been processed separately.

Please note that recurring donations will not work with the offline payment option as Envoy Recharge needs the credit card details in order to set up a subscription payment.

Once you are finished performing the necessary actions as the user, click the settings button again and the click “Return to admin”. This will log you out of the user’s account and log you back in as yourself.
